London Art Book Fair 12 to 15 September 2013

STOP PRESS! Altazimuth Press and Tom Paine Printing Press are showing work at the London Art Book Fair at the Whitechapel Gallery from 12th to 15th September 2013. Thurs 6-9; Fri-Sun 11-6. Admission free.

We will also be showing at the Oxford Fine Press Book Fair at Oxford Brooks University during the first weekend in November.

Nelson & Royal Tars Poster at Tom Paine Press






A Staffordshire Nelson jug standing next to the letterpress-printed Royal Tars poster, first printed in Lewes by W. & A. Lee c.1800. William Lee, the founder of this printing business in Lewes, was the publisher of the Sussex Weekly Advertiser, and also the printer of Tom Paine's first pamphlet, The Case of The Officers of Excise.

The CODEX 2013 INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR will be held at a new venue, the beautiful waterfront Craneway Pavilion, located in Richmond at 1414 Harbour Way South.

Over 175 of the world’s most distinguished book artists and artisans, private presses, and fine art publishers will be exhibiting their art and craft.

There is no better place to find and collect the finest in contemporary artist books, typographic prints, and fine printing than at CODEX.

New Prints, August 2012







Two new limited edition prints from the Tom Paine Printing Press in August 2012. The top one is for the London Art Book Fair at the Whitechapel Gallery in September, and the bottom one is just for fun, but I'll be showing it at the Whittington Press open day on 1st September, at the Whitechapel, and also at the Dorchester Abbey print show in October.
